Singapore Airlines To Add Premium Economy Service

May 19, 2015 – Singapore Airlines, one of the best carriers around are now giving a little extra attention to those in the back of the plane, giving those seated in economy a little taste of the luxury life.

Singapore Airlines is introducing a premium economy option.  Passengers will shell out a little more cash in exchange for extra comfort. Better food and beverage is part of the deal, as well as a larger in-flight entertainment screen and a wider seat.

There’s still some work to be done back in the hangar before things take to the skies, but both Singapore’s Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s will be getting the updates, and premium economy is scheduled to debut on an August 9 flight to Sydney. By 2016 you can expect to find the new service included on routes to spots like Beijing, London, Tokyo, and New York, among others.

The world will be curious to see how Singapore Airlines’ signature service translates into these new seating options.
